I went with my wife to this hotel, and it was our first time In Thailand....
The Majestic Grande's Location was amazing, literally it was in the middle of everything..
The rooms were quite small, but they were clean, the toilets were spacious excellent internet and room serive.
The staff were very friendly and always kept the room clean. The only disadvantage was the Tv, even though it was huge there werent alot of cable channels..
Overall It was a pleasant stay and I hope i go back there again
(the bed was amazing)

I cannot understand why so many people have marked this hotel down for its location. We've stayed in three hotels in Bangkok including the LeBua at State Tower and this has the best location of them all. It takes just over a minute to walk from the Majestic Grande to Sukhamvit road, one of my favourite parts of Bangkok with the Skytrain running right down the middle of it. Also the ''dity, tatty side street in a not very nice neighbourhood'' is infact a very open, clean and safe road which runs almost the entire length next to the JW Marriott Hotel, which means you have hotel guards along its entire length, all of which are very friendly and helpful.
As for the hotel itself, wow. The service is top notch, the rooms great and spacious with amazing views and the price you pay is peanuts. This hotel is undoubtably one of the best in Bangkok and is probably the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in. Please visit this hotel before the management realise how little they are currently charging and the prices go up, you wont regret it.

This was the first stop on our honeymoon in Thailand and we stayed here for three days....Which was the perfect amount of time.....two or three days would be great because you get to do enough (if it's your first visit to Thailand) to experience the essence of Bangkok, but I don't know if I would want to stay any longer than that.....
The service was nice....the rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were comfy....the pool doesn't really get any sun and it's fairly small, but designed nicely......we used the gym once and it served its purpose....the food at the restaurant was good....we enjoyed the breakfast buffet....the fancy Italian restaurant in the hotel called Sacz was expensive but the food was not really memorable....we should have gone elsewhere....
There is a mall within walking distance and there are some really good restaurants in there....there is also a small pharmacy in there, in case you need shampoo and things like that....
Go visit the Big Buddha, the gigantic malls (pretty impressive!), temples with more buddhas, and just take in the madness that is Bangkok! And hang on when riding in the cabs! It's crazy! Have fun!

We stayed at The Majestic Grande for two nights. Its a beautiful, new hotel. Check-in was easy, refreshing drink on arrival. We had the grande deluxe smoking room. Although the room didnt smell of smoke the corridors did as it was carpeted and the rooms were not. The bathroom was gorgeous and the bathtub was huge! There was also a seperate shower. Huge also. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice. There are two locations for brekky. Down near the lobby or overlooking the pool. We only ate near the pool. The pool is small but I think there is room for everyone and after a hot, sweaty day shopping in Bangkok it was good to go there a relax with a cocktail or four! Location was good. Near a skytrain and skytrains are dead easy to use. And if you're wanting to go out of a nightime, Nana Plaza is walking distance. Couldn't fault the place and concierge is very knowledgeable. I think its four stars but I think it pushing five. Would definately stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the end of our holiday. We found it to be a very comfortable hotel, very clean, nice staff, good room, and would certainly return ,should we go again to Bangkok.
